Stunning high-polish Australian Boulder Opal that shows swirls and flashes of pinks, blues, greens, and blacks.

Australian Boulder Opal forms when silica-bearing groundwater moves through cracks, seams, and cavities in Ironstone, then slowly deposits hydrated silica as a gel. Over time, this silica hardens into Opal, often forming as thin veins or patches within the Ironstone host rock. Because the Opal and Ironstone are naturally bonded together, Boulder Opal is usually cut with part of its host rock still attached.

Set in solid Sterling Silver with a subtle engraved texture around the setting.

Handmade in Nipaluna / Hobart, Lutruwita / Tasmania.

This ring is one of a kind, and is a size P 1/2.

This ring is made from solid Sterling Silver and set with an Australian Boulder Opal. Opals should be treated with care and protected from harsh chemicals, perfume, cleaning products, swimming, sudden temperature changes, and heavy impact.

Do not clean this ring in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner. To clean, gently wipe the Sterling Silver with a soft polishing cloth, taking care around the Opal. Store separately in a dry place when not worn to protect the stone, setting, and polished surface.

Preorder

What does Preorder mean, and how long will it take?

Preorder is available for some items that may take longer than usual for me to make and ship. This can be due to not having the materials in stock, or needing extra time to source a unique gemstone for you.

Generally, I would allow up to 4 weeks for the item to be made and shipped, but if you would like a more accurate time-frame, please reach out at the time of purchase.

FAQ

Are bespoke or custom requests available?

Absolutely! All my jewellery is handmade by me, and I can make any of your jewellery dreams come true!

As a designer, it is so rewarding to have someone come to me with a
budding idea of something precious to them and over time, the design
becomes fully formed, and they emerge with an incredible custom
jewellery piece.

Please contact me to discuss your options.

I love this piece, but I would love it even more if...

Alterations to existing designs is totally possible.

Sterling Silver, Yellow Gold, Rose Gold, White Gold, Mixed Metals - your metal choices are endless!

Necklaces can be made shorter or longer, rings wider or finer, earrings with hooks, chains or studs...

If you can dream it up, its possible.

Are the materials responsibly sourced?

Responsibly sourcing materials is a huge priority for me, and I recycle
whenever possible. Even though precious metal sourcing and finding
ethical, traceable, sustainable options can be difficult, it's nonnegotiable for everything I create.

When I make my pieces, I carefully vet every part of what I use to ensure the people involved are working under fair, ethical conditions with minimal environmental impact.
